"Why do they make me wear this silly hat?"

Samuel, adorned in the traditional hand knit pumpkin hat from Craig's "Favorite" Aunt Carol.

What do you think? Does he like it? Maybe not, but we think he's adorable in it! Happy Fall!

Fall Fun Down on the Farm

Just 4 miles down the road from us is this awesome pumpkin farm. Last Friday Brianne, Luke, Molly, Samuel and I went on a field trip with their homeschool group, Classical Conversations. It was cold and windy, but otherwise a beautiful fall day!
Fantastic picture of Luke on the hay ride!!
Molly in the animal barn.

This was a really cool long horned animal!

Don't get too close!

Fall Soccer '09

I think this is our 5th season of YMCA soccer here in KC! For the past 2 1/2 years Craig has coached both Luke/Molly's team and Jessi/Brianne's team. It is the most fun we have ever had playing soccer because it is low key (once a week practice, once a week game), with all our friends on our teams it's just a sweet day of fun and fellowship!

Brianne and the little pooch!!!
Jessi actually is not able to play this season because she is too old )=:, but she comes and cheers on her siblings and friends!

Entering the Dinsmore Fall Birthday Marathon....

Brianne is the first in a long line of Dinsmore fall birthdays! Not to mentions our anniversary, 20 years this year for Craig and Linda!!! We so miss celebrating with our grandparents and aunts and uncles )=:, but have learned to make the best of it! This fall, all our children, except Samuel of course, will be in their double digets, 10-18 years of age! Wow, what can happen in 20 short years!!
" Bug-a-loo", how we love you!!! Happy, Happy Birthday XXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful girls in the back yard with the summer's end wild flowers!!! "And why do you worry about your clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you. O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after these things, and your heavenly father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:28-end

Sweet little baby bath boy!!!! Isn't that the cutest smile? He loves his bath!!!!

Samuel is not interested in pacifiers of fingers. When it come time for "night-night", he just likes to be put in his crib with a soft blanket close to his face to grab and hold in his hands. In this picture he is holding the "night night" my mom made him. Better hurry and make a second one Gramma so we always have a clean one (=:!!!

Sweet little angel boy!!!

Saying "Good-bye" to Michael, for now....

Michael will be attending theBethel School of Supernatural Ministry in Redding, CA starting mid Sept. for the next year. The school's mission is to equip & deploy revivalists who passionately pursue worldwide transformation in their God-given spheres of influence. He worked hard this summer at Mulch Mart to pay for half of what he needs. God has also provided significant funding through gifts of friends specifically for this school. He is trusting God for the rest.

Our last family dinner before he left.

This was hilarious! The whole family took Michael to the airport and proceeded to storm the check-in counter with him. How many Dinsmore's does it take to help Michael check his luggage?

10 people checking in....only one actually traveling....and mommy there clicking photos...would love to know what people were thinking...

A friendly KC traveler offered to take the family picture for us!

And there he goes, our big, handsome 18 year old boy, I mean MAN!!!

We have talked with Michael several times since he's been in CA. He is on Fire!!! Totally psyched and pumped about the things he is already learning and experiencing in the Lord. He really wants to give his %100 and get as much as he can out of this time! This was SUCH a good move for him to do this year! We are so thankful and glad he can do this!

Summer End 2009

The little coochy boy in his swing! Isn't he adorable?!!! Too bad he really doesn't like his swing that much. His favorite place to be is in someone's arms!!! But that's okay because there are plenty of arms around her to hold him! Chubby, wubby cheeks! He actually always looks alot more chubby in pictures than he actually his. However at 2 months he is weighing in at 14 lbs, 23 inches - doubling his birth weight and 2 1/2 inches longer! He's gonna be a BIG boy! Oh, how we LOVE him!!!

Bathing beauties getting in their last swim in the pool that really didn't get much use this year.

This summer our family had the priviledge of going to 2 amazing weddings all together. One in Tennessee and one here in KC. One wedding our girls were all part of the bridal party! Both weddings were really just unexplainable, setting the stage for purity and holiness before the Lord in courting. At both weddings, the couples first kiss was at the wedding!!! THAT made quite the impact on all our kiddos! And not in a legalistic way, it was just beautiful on so many levels...wish I were better with words.
Michael is on the swing with his greatest fan! He is the son of the worship leader that Michael plays with here at IHOP. This sweet little boys just LOVES Michael. With Michael gone to CA now, I can't bear to have this couple over and have their little guy walk around our house saying, "Where's Mike?" , and him not be here. Just not ready for that yet...

Brianne and her friend Rose at the wedding...soaking it all in! We are so thankful for Godly examples for our kids to gleen from!!!

A Climbing We Will Go

In an attempt to do one last big family event before Michael leaves for California for the school year, we finally landed on ROCK CLIMBING for a day and it was quite the hit for all; even baby Samuel had a good time being passed around between us as we took turns climbing. We climbed for 5 hours, with a quick break to Wendy's for food in between. Happy family of 10!

Mommy getting ready to belay Jessi!

Better keep her safe mom!

Go Zac...go Zac!!!

Michael on the way down.

Mike and Nic looking up.

They finally gave Craig a turn to go up. You'd never know he has a hernia!

Silly faces....

Luke the Man comin' down.

Big Brother Nic belaying Brianne.

Jessi all chalked and ready to go.

Brianne bouldering.

Molly happily taking her turn feeding Samuel.

Spider Nic. He really is sideways, just look at Brianne in the bottom left corner looking on.

Molly girl bouldering. One man's comment was, "Look at her biceps!"

Thank you God for a fabulouse day together! We are HOOKED!!!!

A Snapshot Of Our Life At The International House of Prayer

Click for a sneak peak:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_BGbgMSSMI

During one of the weekly Intercession for Israel sets, Brianne dances on a team of children. This day she had a wonderful solo opportunity. During that time, Linda prays for pregnant moms in the prenatal rooms while Craig, Luke and Molly also participate in the prayer for Israel. Luke almost always prays on the mic (for all the world to hear) during "rapid fire" (3 minute) prayers for Israel. A couple times as Luke was pacing and praying in the Spirit for Israel, he has broken into weeping. When I asked him why he was crying his reply was, "I don't know, it just came over me."

Our Little JUSTICE Baby!!!

Samuel's birth mom was very adament about chosing LIFE for her baby even if it meant giving him up for adoption.

"Jesus we plead your blood over our sins and the sins of our nation. God, end abortion and send revival to America."

www.bound4life.com

Nic in love!!!

Here it is, the long awaited picture of Nic and Samuel! Of course, the long wait for this picture is NO indication of Nic's affection toward or time spent holding his new baby brother. In fact, the other day, I was sleeping on the couch with Samuel asleep on my chest and Nic comes home, sees the baby and me and comes over and just touches him and says, "I have to get one of these..." He just loves this little guy and holds him as much as he can - when he's not saying, "where's the baby; I want to poke him in the belly."

I've had to make it very clear to all the kids, "DO NOT go into his room when the door is shut!!! Let sleeping babies lie!"

A Little Angel!

This is the picture I sent out on our update list but it is so incredicly cute I just had to post it! Samuel is doing great, eating and YES, SLEEPING LOTS! The only time he really cries is when he's hungry or has gas bubbles. Everyone keeps saying he is so small, but when we took him to see his new friend, "Piper" who was born July 6th (one week prior to him), he looked like a giant compared to her little 4 1/2 pound self. When I introduced them (of course they were both sleeping at the time), Samuel grinned the BIGGEST grin!

The Garden of Dinsmore

Our, well, let's be honest...CRAIG's garden just exploded while he was gone! This is his 2nd year at gardening and he is having alot of fun and learning a whole lot the hard way! This year he learned that Missouri is one of the hardest places to grow in because of the bugs )=:, but he "plows" ahead none the less and is keeping us well fed and healthy! Now I guess I have to learn how to can and freeze )=: - or do I? I certainly did NOT learn to dress a deer when he started hunting.
But it is definitley time for a chest freezer in the Dinsmore Den!
